America
Failing
Day 220
We so admire people on the Left and their ability to stay calm (like at the WTO in Seattle, documented in the movie Battle in Seattle) in the face of deep provocation.
We hear that some folks in the CIA are dismayed by the redefinition of torture by the Putz-in-Chief and his cowardly goat, Eric Holder. They are upset that “second-hand smoke” is now considered a form of unauthorized interrogation and perhaps torture. (This while the terrorists continue to do beheadings, burnings, electrifying of genitals, and such.) We are apparently too civilized (or should be) to defend ourselves in ways reminiscent of Humphry Bogart, Batman, or Lara Croft. No – we need to be like Pee-wee Herman or Kermit the Frog.
So – we have an idea for you folks on the Left.
Why don’t some of you clowns become CIA interrogators. Why don’t some of you put your money where your mouth is (we’re thinking of blowhards like Alan Colmes and, much as we like her, Kirsten Powers, both of FoxNews). You take on the responsibility of keeping America safe. And when the terrorists don’t tell you what you believe you need to know in order to keep a bomb from going off in San Francisco or in Chicago, let’s see what you do. And let’s see what you say when a bomb does go off in somewhere in America because you couldn’t get the intel you needed.
As you watch over the smoldering ruins are you going to say, “Well, we can hold our heads up high because we followed the Army Field manual and didn’t blow second hand smoke at the people from another land who just don’t understand our ways of life and need to be rehabilitated so that they can join the community of nations as good citizens. They’re just misunderstood and we need more time to show them how nice we really are. Hey – put away those cigarettes. We need to talk to them some more.”
Is that what you’re going to say as we string you up to the nearest collapsed skyscraper and leave you there as buzzard food? Or do you have something else you’d rather we know about?
We’re not holding our breath.
