We are – all of us at O-t-c – so tired of Democrats and the Obama Administration. They bore us to tears. The only reason we follow anything they do is because it’s consequential.
Not once have we heard them say anything remotely interesting, let alone intellectually stimulating. But what can one expect of people who skate through life, rising to the top of the heap through extortion, political correctness, and bullying instead of brains and fair competition? Is there any such thing as a smart Democrat anymore? Really – is there?
Take Chrysler and GM. Please. Take them. Put them out of their misery – put them out of our misery. Ray LaHood, the Transportation Secretary, said that people should stop driving their Toyotas. Tell us how that’s not a conflict of interest. Yeah – we know that LaHood says he’s a Republican, but really – he’s not. He’s a RINO. He really should follow Arlen Specter’s lead and become a Democrat outright. After all, does anyone believe the deception anymore? Just be the jerk you really are, Mr. LaHood and some of us might at least be able to respect that.
Yeah – we know he tried to walk back what he said. But not really. Not in a way that had any impact.
And what he did was so abysmally amateurish and transparent: he wanted people to look at Taxpayer Motors in a more favorable light.
Well, Mr. LaHood – it backfired. At least in these quarters. We now look at Taxpayer Motors in an even worse light than we did before, though we didn’t believe it to be possible.
We can’t think of a single thing – not one damned thing – that this President has done that we like. We’re not going to belabor it anymore. Suffice to say that we’re bored to tears with his and the Democrat rhetoric. We are bored to tears with their efforts to play the race cards, their efforts to propagandize our children, to propagandize us. We’re bored to tears with their insults. We’re bored beyond yawning at their efforts to try to sneak things past us like little kids looking “to see if Mommy and Daddy are looking” as they try to sneak their hands in the cookie jars. It’s cute in a little kid. It’s just unbelievably shallow, trivial, and bo-o-o-oring coming from adults.
We wish we could get a dispensation from God to move November to come after February this year. This would put the Democrats out of our misery.
Boycott the Messiah!
We watched with mixed emotions, your speech (yet another speech!) at your town hall meeting last week. We saw you strident, perhaps angry. We saw you defiant. What we didn’t see was that you had learned anything from We the People.
The mixed emotions come because it kind of tugged at us when you said (paraphrasing) that some of the attacks on you stung. That’s perhaps the most human thing we’ve heard you say – ever. It’s using English in a way that Americans around the country understand and get. It’s not professorial. It’s not highbrow, looking over the glasses to talk down to us. It’s just connecting man to man or man to woman.
However, in the next moment, we remembered.
We remembered when you tried to walk it back from your condemnation of the Cambridge Police Department, when you said that you had “miscalibrated” your language. Who talks like that?
But more – we remember that you did condemn the Cambridge Police Department after saying that you didn’t have all the facts. Fast forward to when you tried to stump for Martha Coakley, and you said that you didn’t really know Scott Brown’s record as you then tried to condemn it.
You are very fast to demonize fellow Americans, Mr. President. We can’t think of a single time that George W. Bush did that, despite provocation that makes your hot seat look like an air conditioned cockpit. You are very quick to lash out at us, Mr. President – at anyone who stands in your way. This is why we call you a bully. And you do it with people who are ill equipped to fight back against the force of the Federal Government in general and the Office of the President in particular. This is why we call you a coward.
We strongly suggest that if you want to turn things around on your watch, Mr. President, that you stop with the demonization; stop with the villainizing of entire swaths of Americans. Show the same kind of respect and courtesy that you and your Wicked Witch of the West demand every so often from the rest of us. Start treating people who disagree with you with respect, Mr. President, and just maybe you’ll find it reciprocated.
If you can’t manage that, we happily imagine you feeling irritated, annoyed, ticked off, etc. We wish for you the same consternation that you cause us. We would rather that we could respect an American President, but as in all things, respect is something earned, and you, Sir, have not earned it; not yet; though you still can.
Today you destroyed billions of dollars in holdings with your efforts to demonize bankers and Wall Street investors – yet again. The DOW was down more than 200 points – the second day in a row – after the second day in a row that you started with your meddling again.
Now that you can no longer blast the insurance companies and Big Phram because you got your butt kicked in Massachusetts, you’re looking for a new boogie man, and you’ve settled on the investor class again.
Are you really that evil or that stupid, Mr. President? Have you learned nothing from your whoopin’ in Massachusetts? We the People are on to you. We see through your lunatic, narcissistic ideas, and we’re sick of them.
You said you were against torture. So why are you torturing us?
Of course, if you keep it going, We the People will give you many more Republicans and some Independents to work with come November. We only wish that it was now – right now – the day of the November 2010 election.
As if we needed help to make our case.
So – it turns out that one of the major theses of so-called global warming was based on a speculation by a little-known scientist out of India followed by a series of so-called scientists playing the child’s game “telephone.” And on this flimsy bit of junk, American taxpayers were being boondoggled into Kyoto and Copenhagen efforts to send billions – if not trillions – of their hard earned dollars to other people who have not earned it!
If it were up to us, every single perpetrator of this fraud, and that’s what it was and is, should be locked in jail for 10 years. We double down on our last entry.
Scientists – if scientists you be – owe American taxpayers a huge apology. You should make it this year. You should be glad that we don’t get out the tar and feathers, for you make Bernie Madoff look like a small time carnival barker playing the shell game for some cheap laughs.
Apologize – if you have the humanity and the decency to do so.
Note: If you are not a scientist, and if you do not understand the rigors of the scientific method, this entry is not to you. It is to the people who have studied the scientific method, who respect it, who believe it is the best hope at getting at the structure of our world. If that’s not you, but your a “climate change” proponent or an “environmentalist”, you are a political animal – not a scientist. This entry is for scientists who might happen to come across this blog. Unlikely, but what the heck.

An open letter to scientists in the area of ecology, meteorology and climatology:
We at O-t-c believe that most people who call themselves scientists WANT to perform per the scientific method. We also believe that environmentalism has put people into your field who have virtually destroyed it – especially insofar as Read more
