Madame Speaker Pelosi,
We watched your press conference from a week ago Thursday. We watched you today.
We feel very sorry for you.
A once powerful person, you now look beleagured, tired, and most of all weak. What else can account for the “shield” you brough out by way of three MALE Representatives? Why no women? Perhaps they wouldn’t be Read more
We know many rank-and-file Democrats. Other than the politics they go with, most seem relatively nice.
But we wonder about their mental health. Why? Because anyone with a brain must be experiencing cognitive dissonance as they try to support President Obama’s policies, Nancy Pelosi’s craven efforts to accuse and deflect attention, and Robert Gibbs ability to dissemble.

As you know, we at Off-the-cliff.com do not have any affection for the current Speaker of the House, Nancy “The Glitch” Pelosi. We believe she is one of the worst people to ever hold that office. And the fact that President Obama has taken her under his wing to shield her from troubles of her own making speaks volumes about the President as well.
But we feel a special need to focus on the Speaker of the House. In the old Star Trek series, there is an episode called “The Squire of Gothos,” where the crew meet an all-powerful being named Trelane. Trelane and Spock have this interchange.
Trelane: “Well, I don’t know if I like your tone. It’s most challenging. Is that what you’re doing, challenging me?”
Spock: “I object to you. I object to intellect without discipline. I object to power without constructive purpose.”
So we can imagine the Obama Bullies telling us that they don’t like our tone; that it’s most challenging; and is that what we’re doing… challenging him and Madame Speaker, etc.
Our answer, almost word-for-word, would be Spock’s reply, especially as it applies to Speaker Pelosi.
Now if you’re a fence-sitter, you undoubtedly need evidence before you’ll accpet our characterization. So evidence is now presented. Let’s begin here. Read more
As readers of this blog know, we view the rabid left as something of an annoying little yapper dog.

Well – because we believe that the press and most of the other mass media are in the tank for the Obama Administration, and especially for President Obama himself, we have come to view it as the President’s lapdog. And we think we have a perfect name for the lapdog: Fifi.
So without further ado, meet the American press and mass media. Meet Fifi, the official Off-the-cliff.com image of the mainstream news media.
This gives you a tiny feeling of what we feel for so many of the the people you see on all the alphabet news stations, for the folks who publish most of the so-called mainstream newspapers, etc.
Their ability to do and present a critical, Fourth Estate analysis of the President and his policies seems to be on a par with the displayed intelligence of the dog in the video.
We’re saddened by this state of affairs. We wish we could show the press as a lion on the prowl. That’s what it ought to be. But no – it’s a yapper on the President’s bed, waiting for someone to come pay attention and pet it.

We have a new mission here at Off-the-cliff.com.
It is our opinion that anyone in line to be President of the United States of America should not be an out-and-out liar. We believe that a person in line to be President of the United States should have the best interests of America at heart, and not just his or her stupid party (and yes – we believe both parties are stupid), which is why we are fiercely Independent. We make no bones about being conservative, but it is a big mistake to equate the Republican party, which includes people from a somewhat wide range along the political spectrum with people who consider themselves staunchly in favor of certain specific things – which are historically called conservative.
We hope that the Republicans become more conservative. And the more that they do, the more they will find themsleves Read more
