For the first time in our lives, we here at Off-the-cliff.com find ourselves proud to be part of a protest movement. For the first time in our lives, we are proud of our generation. That’s saying a lot. We knew we were good and decent folks. We have never viewed that as anything but ordinary; nothing to be particularly proud of. We just go about our business; being good folks who can look themselves in the mirror; who love and teach our children; who love our traditions; the American story – warts and all. We have nearly always been proud of America.
For the first time, we are proud to be protesters. It gladdens the heart when we hear people in the protest calling Obama a liar as they echo Congressman Joe Wilson who called Obama a liar when he was giving his speech.
We are immensely proud of you guys. Immensely proud.
